Algolagnia And The Sexual Sadism Paraphilic Disorder Is More Than Just A Fantasy

Paraphilias are often tossed aside with judgmental looks and have people cringe if they do not look disgusted. However, how much do you know about paraphilias and sexual sadism disorder?

The Overall View Of Sexual Sadism Disorder

Sexual sadism is one of many paraphilias in the darker and obscure spectrum of the field. It can create distress in the one living with the paraphilia or the partner. It often interferes with one’s daily life and routine. Sexual sadism can sadly lead to non-consensual harm or pain.

The disorder causes the person living with it to feel arousal through the media of intense involuntary pain. However, it isn’t them who are going through the suffering; it is someone else. It has to be through physical abuse, suffering or humiliation. In other words, they achieve orgasm through the suffering of others.

The Review Of Anna O, Written By Matthew Blake

There are so many books in the wild, and sometimes, we need a guide to give us advice about them. Fear not. Paula is on the case. Let us know what she thinks of Anna O by Matthew Blake!

Anna O, A Review

Cases of sleepwalking can take chilling turns, sometimes even leading to murder. The phenomenon of sleepwalking, known medically as somnambulism, has fascinated and puzzled both researchers and the general public for centuries.

While most cases involve harmless nocturnal activities like wandering around the house or talking in one’s sleep, there have been instances where sleepwalking culminated in tragic outcomes, such as homicide. These cases blur the lines between consciousness and unconsciousness, raising profound questions about the complexities of the human mind.

Vlad, The Last Confession Is A Historical Fiction Retelling Of A Hero

There are many novels out there, but there is so little time. When I hurt my back and found myself glued to my bed, here is what I read, Vlad, The Last Confession, by C.C. Humphreys and here is my review.

Vlad, The Last Confession – The Official Summary

A superb gothic novel about the real Dracula, Vlad the Impaler – one of history’s greatest psychopaths or a hero of the West? Perhaps both…

‘A chilling masterpiece that weaves fact and fable. Bedtime reading? Only if you don’t need much sleep…’

BEST DRACULA. A name of horror, depravity and the darkest sensuality.

Growing up in New Zealand, a small country, many things started happening civilisation-wise in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We have a different history than other countries around the world.

In saying that, though, we have a few exciting spots around New Zealand worth visiting, including the former Seacliff Lunatic Asylum, considered the most haunted place in New Zealand.

My Marilyn Manson Redemption Must Happen!

Biters, I must confess I dropped the ball back around Halloween. I was given a special request to look at a Marilyn Manson song. While I turned an article in for you all, it was merely fair in execution.

It’s not worthy of you or a gothic magazine for a Halloween article. Biters, I now seek redemption this December with Bill McClintock‘s All I Want for Christmas is the Beautiful People.

Black Christmas: A Ho-Ho-Horror Retrospective Review

Danny Micheal Vaillancourt stopped by Gothic Bite Magazine to give his reviews on the Black Christmas movie and its remakes. What better than a good horror movie to start the holidays?

The Originals Are Always Better Aren’t They?

Bob Clark’s Black Christmas from 1974 is arguably one of the best of its kind within the sub-genre of holiday horror films. It remains undoubtedly influential in laying the groundwork for slasher films.

It has even inspired some of the genre classics that we know and love today, such as John Carpenter’s Halloween from 1978, and would go on to establish the formula and genre rules to come.

An Introduction To What Does It Mean To Me To Be A Vampire

Most people know little about vampires beyond what Hollywood has portrayed them. But what if I told you that, in many ways, I am a vampire? Come read my story.

Come Peek Into My Vampirish Diary

This article is the first of many I planned to explain and dive into the world of vampires. There are so many fields, categories, genres, and lifestyles related to millennia-old and worldwide known creatures that one article wouldn’t cover it.

However, there is also more to know as to why I wanted to be the one exploring the subject. My passion for vampires goes back to my toddler years, but there is more to it. Not only do I relate to the vampire creature, but I am also a certified vampirologist.

Béla Kiss Is All About Vampires And Human Pickles

Many murderers kept the attention of the public on high alert or passionate to know more about their history. This killer might not be as famous as others, but it certainly will hold your attention. Here is the story of a vampire who likes pickles!

Who Is Béla Kiss, And Where Is He From?

Let us go to Hungary, where a dangerous man was born in 1877, Béla Kiss. As a child, reports say that Béla was a victim of incest perpetuated by his mother, Verona Varga.

Born in the city of Izaák but lived in Cinkota, which used to be close to Budapest but is now neighbouring the city. Béla Kiss was a tinsmith, meaning he made repairs on items made of tin or any metals.

The Real Story Behind Regan MacNeill From The Exorcist

We all know that actual events often inspire many movies and stories. What ‘true events’ and ‘real life events’ mean is left to the one telling the story. So, who inspired the most horrifying movie of all time, The Exorcist?

The Horror Is Sometimes Real In Movies

Lately, it has been on my mind just how many movies, TV shows, and other pop culture references are based on events that happened in reality. Especially when it comes to horror and mystery movies.

I have touched on films and the stories behind movies like Scream, Annabelle, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and even The Exorcist was based on a true story.

What Is The True Purpose Of Halloween

Pagans, witches and goths alike were all Hollywoodified and categorized as people who sacrifice for rituals and speak to the devil. Halloween is no exception to the rule. So, what is Halloween?

The Horrible Reality That We Live In

When scrolling around on social media, I came across one person who said she posted a picture of herself in a Halloween costume. Nothing alarming, but then she mentioned Christians trying to tell her that Halloween is a day of sacrifices for Pagans and witches.

I don’t take well to people who spread wrong information. That is because I know how much damage it could cause. The truth and solid facts are important because they can hurt a group of people or anything that isn’t responsible for the lies being spread.

The Witch Trial Of Salzburg In Austria

The witch trials in Europe spread throughout the continent, and some of the most tragic are the most famous. So, let us visit one of the most famous cases in the 300 years of witch trials!

The Overall View Of The Salzburg Witch Trials

The most known witch trials occurred from 1675 to 1690 in Salzburg. The trial had many names, including the Zauberjackl trials, the Salzburg witch trials, and the Witch Jackls process.

The process of the witch trials led to the death of a hundred and thirty-nine people. Austria wasn’t a kind place for witches, but rather nightmarish, and it is one of the reasons for this case to be so famous. Another reason is that most of the victims were males.

What Is The Gates of Life and Death

Paganism and Witches alike follow the Wheel of the Year. There are reasons for each celebration, and sometimes, there are darker reasons. The Gates of Life and Death is one of them.

When Energies Comes Out

For years, witches, Wiccans, and pagans alike have attested how Samhain was the thinnest veil during the year, marking it as the Witch’s New Year since it welcomes transformation through spiritual death.

However, as I have attuned to nature, the energies during the months leading up to Samhain typically arise in September when the turn of the year starts in June, so the reflected energies should align with the sun’s waning.

Daemonophobia Is The Fear Of Living With Demons

There are many phobias in the world that we know are irrational. All fears are irrational but have roots in either instinct or trauma. So, what is daemonophobia?

TRIGGER WARNING: PTSD | Anxiety | Phobia | Daemonophobia | Mental Illness | Mental Disorder | Paranoia | Medical Terms

The Overall Fear Called Daemonophobia

Daemonophobia is an overwhelming fear that otherworldly beings, primarily demons, can take over their mind and body. The fear is persistent and can, in some cases, be paralyzing. It targets people who believe supernatural or paranormal beings roam freely in the world and can possess a human.

For this article, I will refer to supernatural and paranormal beings as demons, specifically from the Roman Catholic belief. That doesn’t mean that the phobia is only present in people who are of the Roman Catholic belief. However, my knowledge of demons is more significant within these parameters.

The Song Big John Is More Gothic Than We Think!

Over at Gothic Bite, we know that the word gothic runs deeper than what the populace thinks it does. It creeps in, and sometimes we find it in songs. James tells us more about Big Bad John.

A Little About Big Bad John

Alright, Biters, It’s been a while since I did a song review. Let’s revisit a favourite artist of mine, bass singer and Voice Play member Geoff Castellucci. This time, we are looking at his cover of Big Bad John.

Considering this is Geoff’s third time around with us, there is no need to rehash his stats and history. We all know that man can sing. Instead, let’s focus on the song’s history.
