True Blood

Full Moon And Legends Gives You A Werewolf

I have always loved the werewolvesSomething about being so powerful has always struck me.

My First Screen Experience

My first dab with the beasts was seeing them on screen, and I have to say as a little kid, I was awestruck by the transformation from human to werewolf.

The first movie I saw that dealt with was the old white and black, The Wolf Man. You have to remember this was the late 70s so old black and white movies were still showing.

The Walking Dead

Undead, Living Dead, Walkers, ZOMBIES!

The week keeps going with the favorite monsters of our writers! Today, James shares his choice, and he liked them before it was cool to do so!

The Monster

The time has come Biters to talk favorite monsters. I can hear you now. “That’s easy. You said it’s the Graboids from Tremors!”

Or you call yourself GBM’s Skeleton in the Closet, so it has to be skeletons. But you’d be surprised. It’s actually zombies.

Vampire

Angels Above Demons Below

When asked what my favorite monster is, contrary to popular belief, it isn’t vampires, but demons.

Say A Prayer

Angels above Demons below is the common knowledge. Some of us like to be safe and be what society refers to as “normal.” I don’t. I am an individual looking for the strange, and I fit with weirdos.

Raised Christian, I went to the Church every Sunday and was part of the choir. I even took part in our church group to keep the company to elderly people without families. Moreover, I loved every minute of it.

Megadeth

Music Week Goes Mega Metal with Megadeth

We often rock is dead and sometimes we might believe it. But, the rock we know is passed down generations! Dora is here to remind us of Megadeth!

80s Heavy Metal

Back in the 80s, we had a surge of new music invading the pop charts, you had bands like Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Madonna, Poison, Bon Jovi, etc.

These were friendly listening bands to play on the radio and MTV, but there was a piece of underground music rearing its teeth with screaming guitars, social lyrics, and blasting drums.

Music Week Goes Full Metal Song Covers

After a week of phobia now, Biters, we’re going into music! So, as a YouTube addict, let me present you, my musician.

 Fear To Cheer

Seems we get to go from fears to cheers this week Biters, it’s a GBM music week. I’ve always thought there is no such thing as a bad song. It’s just the wrong artist or the wrong genre.

That being said, Biters and GBM writers alike may have noticed I love hard rock. I love cover bands. So this week hailing from Norway, uploading his first video way back in 2006. But not going viral until 2013, he now sits at 3.89 million subscribers, 813 videos, and 963,507,565 views.

Ghost

Music Haunted By A Ghost From Sweden

My band, I’m listening to for inspiration, and finding my sleep is Ghost. Who are they? Hmmm, that is a good question I’m happy to answer.

Ghostly Yours

The Scandinavian musical band Ghost originates from Sweden in the town of Linköping. In the United States, some knew them as Ghost B.C. Some say they are rock, but when you listen to their music to me, they fall under Gothic Rock.

That, to me, is due to the orchestration that is quite prominent in their unique sound. Music haunted by a Ghost from Sweden and I’m all over it!

Acrophobia

Phobia Week We Have Acrophobia

Acrophobia is the irrational fear of heights. It creates a motion of discomfort that can lead to high levels of anxiety.

Too High For Me

Who’s afraid of heights? Well, your not alone. About 5% population has an irrational fear of heights. Such as climbing ladders, attending meetings on high floors, flying, bridges, or even standing on a steep hill.

It’s one of the natural environment phobias. It includes fear of thunder and lightning (astraphobia) or water (aquaphobia.) People with acrophobia often avoid situations where they will be exposed to heights. However, this is not always possible.

Just keep swimming! So many tales and movies take place underwater. Some pleasurable, some suspenseful and there’s James.

Sleep With The Fishes

Alright, Biters, the Gothic Bite Magazine, is doing a phobia week. So, I have a bit of an odd one for you. It’s called ichthyophobia, and it is the fear of fish.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a crippling fear of just about anything, which called the water home. Although I’m a good sport about it, this has led to endless jokes and teasing from friends and family alike.

Phobia Week Continues With Dementophobia

Phobias are irrational, but some can come from a real place and has an origin story. Mine causes me night terrors and follows me.

First Stop Denying

At first, I was going to bring to light my clourophobia, which is the fear of clowns. But Kendra and Ed kindly removed with the re-adaptation of the movie IT. With that in mind, I decided to bring light to a phobia that most people don’t talk about because it’s scarce.

Often this phobia is either an afterthought to a person or something that passes. In my case, it terrorizes me since my childhood. If I am, to be honest here, the only positive I ever had in my life was my grandpa.

GBM Interviews Indie Author M. Sinclair

At Gothic Bite Magazine we love welcoming new patients to become part of our asylum. We question them and learn about them. It doesn’t matter what creative field they are part of because they’re our patient now. This week, we welcome Indie Author M. Sinclair!

Patient Name: M. Sinclair

Born and raised in Chicago, I live in Missouri near Whiteman AFB but definitely miss my city traffic and busy coffee shops. I am a parent to 3 cats who support my writing career nearly as much as my cute British husband.

Recently, I became a full-time author to devote more time to expanding my multiple series, and I couldn’t be happier. I tend to focus the majority of my writing on gothic horror and romance, currently focused on the reverse harem subgenre in particular.
