Who Is Gothic Bite Magazine?
We are a coven of curious creatures—writers, researchers, and ravenous minds—devoted to the beautifully bizarre. Our ink bleeds with tales of ancient civilizations lost to time, the blood-soaked pages of the Dark Ages, and the seductive whispers of vampirology.
We breathe life into forgotten legends, whisper of witches, explore the unspeakable depths of paraphilias, and track the elusive shadows of cryptids that stalk the forests of old.
Every article is a séance. Every post, a spell.
If it’s unholy, unloved, or unspoken, you’ll find it here.
GBM: Written by Monsters for Monsters!
You’ve stumbled into the crypt—we hope you brought candles.
At Gothic Bite Magazine, curiosity is the key, and once you sink your teeth into what we offer, you may never leave.
Subscribe to our Newsletter… if you dare. Stay ahead of the strange, the shadowed, and the sublime.
We are more than a webzine.
We are a living grimoire, stitched together by ink and obsession—an archive for the outcasts, the curious, and the beautifully dark.
So… what is Gothic Bite Magazine?
It’s not just articles. It’s not just passion.
It’s a sanctuary for those who walk between worlds.
From the haunted cloisters of Gothic architecture to the dark enchantments of modern witchcraft, GBM is where forgotten histories breathe and mythical creatures stir in the shadows. Our writing delves deep into the misunderstood—witches, vampirology, paraphilias, legends, cryptids, the occult, ancient civilizations, and the many faces of gothic expression, both sacred and profane.
We defy the stereotypes.
No, ‘goth’ doesn’t mean obsessed with death or plagued by sadness.
And no, gothic isn’t synonymous with Satanism (though we’re happy to untangle that web, too.) The Satanic Temple, for example, is a brilliant organization working to educate and dismantle superstition. And Gothic? It’s a rich tapestry of culture—from medieval spires clawing at the heavens to the rebellious glamor of modern subcultures.
We Are Gatekeepers of the Forgotten
Gothic Bite Magazine straddles both the seen and the unseen:
We whisper of haunted grounds and ancient ruins.
We spotlight fashion, art, literature, and lifestyle rooted in gothic soul.
We pull stories from the Otherworld, review dark entertainment, and shine a light on indie creators keeping the black flame burning.
We are researchers, reviewers, artists, and storytellers. Monsters, every one of us. And we leave no coffin unopened.
The Indie Crypt Welcomes You
We proudly stand beside the independent community—writers, illustrators, musicians, cosplayers, goth entrepreneurs, cryptid hunters, and all those who feed the ravenous hunger for something…different. We open our gates to submissions, offer affordable advertising, and ensure your voice finds the eerie echo it deserves.
GBM breaks moulds.
We are friends with witches, lovers of vampires, companions to ghosts, and allies to every wandering soul who seeks magic in the dark.
Dark Treasures Await…
Looking for something to sink your claws into?

We are Gothic Bite Magazine.
We are the whisper in the woods.
The echo in the castle halls.
The chill down your spine when the candles flicker out.
Join us. Write with us. Haunt with us.
The darkness is vast—but here, you’re never alone.
☽ Welcome to our world.
— From the entire ghastly team at GBM,
May your stay be beautifully eerie.

What Are The GBM Monsters?
We are The GBM Monsters—the haunted hearts and ink-stained souls behind Gothic Bite Magazine.
More than just writers or Senior Staff, we are the keepers of the crypt, the archivists of the eerie, the curators of all that is gothic, mystical, and otherworldly. Together, we form an independent, unapologetically dark collective devoted to the celebration of shadows.
Gothic Bite Magazine stands at the crossroads between folklore and subculture, reminiscent of what you might find in Gothic Beauty Magazine or Faerie Magazine—but darker, deeper, and dusted in graveyard soil. We don’t just feature the gothic lifestyle—we excavate it. We blend beauty with history, fantasy with forgotten truths, and lace every page with the soul of the unseen.
As GBM Monsters, we are not merely observers of the gothic world—we live it, breathe it, and create within it.
We are also fiercely proud to offer our platform to independent gothic and mystical creators: writers, artists, witches, scholars, cryptid-chasers, dreamers, and those who find poetry in decay. This is a place where the underground thrives, and all voices that speak the language of the night are heard.
What Does Webzine Mean?
A webzine—short for web magazine—is a digital grimoire of curated content, stitched together by writers, artists, and visionaries who thrive online. Gothic Bite Magazine is exactly that: a living, breathing digital coven of stories, delivered three times a week straight to your screen.
But make no mistake—we’re more than pixels and posts.
We are a dark webzine with fangs, soon to be expanding into the realm of audio with a monthly podcast, and eventually returning to print—seasonally, like the solstice—so our gothic ink can stain the physical world once more.
Though we dwell in the digital shadows for now, in our earliest incarnations we offered annual printed editions—tangible relics for those who wanted to hold the darkness in their hands. And the time to resurrect that tradition draws near.
We’re fiercely independent, not tethered to the corporate publishing world. Our power lies in freedom—and in our obsession with the obscure, the arcane, and the misunderstood. Hosted on WordPress, fuelled by a team of wonderfully geeky, tech-savvy monsters, we ensure your journey through our haunted halls is smooth, spellbinding, and beautifully gothic.
So when you hear webzine, know that for us, it means a digital sanctuary of shadows, crafted with love, lore, and a little bit of code.
Are The Articles You Write All Fake And Made Up?
At Gothic Bite Magazine, nothing is made up for shock or spectacle. We are professional writers, published authors, scholars, and researchers of the shadowed and strange. Every article, feature, and exposé is written with precision, care, and respect for accuracy—grounded in verifiable knowledge and extensive research.
We are well aware that in a world of sensationalism, topics like vampires, folklore, cryptids, paraphilias, and the paranormal are often treated as mere fiction. We are here to correct that narrative.
Our content is categorized and labeled carefully, with clear distinctions between:
- Folkloric research
- Historical documentation
- Speculative theories
- Personal testimony
- Subjective critique
When our monsters take on reviews—whether of books, films, series, or music—our opinions are informed but fair, shaped by experience, but never wielded carelessly. And when we dive into darker waters—vampirism, witchcraft, ancient civilizations, hauntings, or unsolved phenomena—we pull our facts from the deepest archives and the most credible sources, always noting where legend ends and theory begins.
Should breaking news rise from the gothic, horror, or fantastical realms, we verify it to the best of our resources before passing it on to you. Integrity is our ritual.
And when we publish interviews, know this: though we may edit for clarity, we honour the voice of the interviewee. Their words remain their own. We do not alter, manipulate, or editorialize viewpoints—we present them as they are.
This is our oath to our readers:
To bring you quality content, rooted in truth, wrapped in shadow, and written with blood, ink, and reverence.
What Is The Comments And Readers Policy?
At Gothic Bite Magazine, we thrive on conversation. Whether you’re here to praise the peculiar, challenge the shadows, or share your story, your voice matters to us. We’re more than a webzine—we’re a haven, a gathering of outcasts and kindred spirits, and that means our readers aren’t just observers. You are part of the ritual.
We welcome comments, discussions, ideas, and interviews with open arms and curious minds. This digital crypt is yours as much as it is ours.
But even the Otherworld has boundaries.
To protect the integrity of our sanctuary, we have crafted a carefully maintained comment and submission policy. This ensures that what emerges from our crypt remains respectful, safe, inclusive, and in harmony with the gothic, mystical, and paranormal communities we serve.
Our Coven’s Code:
- We review all comments and submissions before publishing.
- We do not tolerate hate speech, bigotry, or harassment of any kind.
- We protect our staff, our readers, and our guests, including those we interview and review.
- We honour the voices of others but expect the same reverence in return.
Gothic Bite Magazine exists because of you—your engagement, your passion, and your shared obsession with all things strange and sublime. But to keep the crypt sacred, we must keep it clean of toxicity.
So speak. Share. Ask questions. Get involved. But always do so with respect for the darkness and the souls who walk within it.
Welcome to the sanctuary.
WHAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT AND UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR
At Gothic Bite Magazine, we protect our circle—fiercely and without apology.
We will not, under any circumstances, tolerate insults, harassment, or cruelty directed at our staff, contributors, interviewees, readers, or followers. If you show up to throw stones, you will be silenced, deleted, and banished from our realm—no warnings, no second chances.
We stand against:
- Body shaming or perverse commentary about physical appearance.
- Sexual harassment, in any form, on any of our platforms—including posts, comments, private messages, shared media, photos, or videos.
- Disrespect or slander toward our partners, advertisers, collaborators, or featured artists.
This applies across the board: on the webzine, in our social groups, in our comments, and on every post we share.
Gothic Bite Magazine does not and will never be a haven for:
- Racism
- Sexism
- Homophobia or transphobia
- Religious extremism
- Hate speech
- Trolls, bullies, or keyboard warriors
- Scammers or spammers
- Fake news or conspiracy rhetoric
- Perverts, predators, or stalkers
Male or female, known or anonymous, violators will be banned immediately and permanently.
We also do not allow the sharing of:
- Inappropriate GIFs, emojis, or explicit images
- Crude language or excessive profanity
- Harassing or antagonistic “interactions” with our team or community
We are building something rare here: a sanctuary in the gothic void, where people can explore, create, and connect without fear of being targeted. We defend that space with everything we’ve got.
See Something? Say Something.
We can’t monitor every shadow 24/7. If you witness a violation of our community standards, report it to us at: 📧 thegothicbitemagazine@gmail.com
Use the subject line: “VIOLATION OF COMMUNITY STANDARDS”

Gothic Bite Magazine is not a vanity project or casual blog. It’s a multidisciplinary gothic platform curated by individuals who have put in the time, the study, and the work.
We don’t pretend to know the darkness—we write it, research it, and live it.
If I’m A Fan Of An Artist You Interviewed Can You Put Me In Contact With Them Or Pass On My Idea?
We appreciate your enthusiasm—but unfortunately, we cannot facilitate direct contact or share ideas on your behalf.
When we conduct interviews, we do so under strict professional boundaries. We do not receive or retain personal contact information, and even if we did, it would be highly unethical and disrespectful to share it without explicit consent.
At Gothic Bite Magazine, we’re committed to maintaining trust and integrity with every creator, artist, and public figure we feature. Our relationships are professional, and we go to great lengths to ensure our interviewees feel safe, respected, and protected.
In cases where interviews take place in press settings—such as conventions, festivals, or media events—we often work under tight time constraints and specific rules. There’s very little room for off-topic exchanges or personal requests.
We hope you understand that these boundaries are part of what keeps GBM a trusted and ethical platform for everyone involved—both the artists and the audience.
Is It Possible To Work For Gothic Bite Magazine?
Yes—we are always open to passionate new voices who share our love for the gothic, paranormal, and mystical.
We currently offer writing positions across a variety of topics. However, please know that we take our work seriously. All contributors are expected to submit one article per week, and each writer is assigned a specific publication day to ensure consistency and editorial flow.
