The Art Of XZanthia

Welcome to the world of XZanthia, an alternative artist with lots of art to share. From oil painting to spike collars, she does it all. Come see her gallery!

My work is rooted in a lifelong dedication to creative exploration across multiple disciplines, including oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, music, and performance-based visual art. Rather than confining myself to a single medium or aesthetic, I move fluidly between forms, allowing each body of work to evolve naturally.

This multidisciplinary approach reflects my belief that art is an ecosystem—each medium informing and feeding the others.

In my visual practice, I create oil and watercolor paintings that often explore emotionally complex environments—worlds where comfort is scarce, yet strength persists. Figures within my work, particularly children and surreal hybrid forms, are portrayed as resilient rather than fragile.

These images serve as quiet narratives of endurance, adaptability, and inner fortitude. My watercolor work tends to embrace a softer, more intimate vulnerability, while my oil paintings lean into deeper psychological weight and layered symbolism. Besides this, I also create cosplay, spike collars, bracelets, leather work, Fantasy, hats, glasses, and more.

Alongside painting, I create steampunk-inspired sculptures that combine industrial textures, found objects, and elements of fantasy. These sculptural works reflect my fascination with transformation, mechanics, and imagined histories—blurring the line between artifact and creature, relic and story.

Music is an equally vital component of my creative world. Through XZanthia – Jupiter’s Thunder, I explore darker, theatrical, and experimental sonic landscapes, while XZanthia – Project 19.5 focuses on esoteric, ethereal, and nontraditional sound structures rooted in dream journals, abstraction, and emotional resonance. Sound, costume, and performance often influence my visual work, creating a cinematic throughline across all mediums.

From 2001 to 2011, I owned and operated a 10,000-square-foot, two-story art gallery in downtown Denver, which served as a hub for exhibitions, performances, and underground art culture. Today, I own and operate an art gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida, while maintaining my primary art studio in Myakka City, Florida. This balance between public exhibition space and private creation allows my work to remain both accessible and deeply personal.

Ultimately, my goal is to create art that invites connection through honesty, strangeness, and emotional depth—work that lingers, challenges, and resonates long after it is experienced.
