The New Age Cultism

Recently, there has been a rise in social media accounts claiming to be time travellers or ambassadors with unique spiritual connections that want you to follow them into enlightenment.

In my line of work, it has always been a calling for me to help those understand the mystical and mystery schools of thought regarding Wicca and Paganism or other spiritual ascension beliefs. I have spent most of my adult life guiding people on their journeys with texts and knowledge of what I have learned to help them through their spiritual awakening.

I point people in the direction they need to go to learn the questions they have asked me if I do not know the answers. Seeing people popping up claiming to be spiritual leaders and asking for money to tell them what they have learned feels wrong.

There Are Many Spiritual Paths But One Is For Cults

I am a writer and author within the occult scene. I recently broke away as my spiritual calling began to differ from the studies I had been teaching while simultaneously learning for the past seventeen years. I spent a lot of time building the Trinitarian Wicca tradition. However, my calling started to go deeper than my co-writer would allow within the infrastructure of her Wicca tradition.

Besides the cost of books, I haven’t taken money from people who have come to me with questions to advance their spirituality. I have always offered my knowledge for free to those seeking enlightenment beyond organized religion.

An Instagram account was brought to my attention within the last few months, The Boujee Healer and I have been slowly compiling my thoughts about what this person teaches. It is part of my beliefs and research.

When The Truth Isn’t So Much Out There But Instagram?

With that said, how this person handles themselves as a spiritual leader of the subject seems cultish. When you scroll through her profile information, it starts as the usual profile of someone in the spiritual movement. She is an ascension guide. The next title caught me off-guard as she claimed to be a Galactic Ambassador.

She quickly switches back to a healer, typical for spiritual leader profiles. She says she is a cosmic conduit, which can have multitudes of different meanings depending on what area of spirituality you are attuned to. She then claims E.T. contact.

I followed the link to her professional website to learn more about her. She starts with the usual meditation and spiritual awakening information she has experienced. She then transitioned into the galactic component of how opening her chakras allowed her to communicate with aliens because she is a Starseed.

She wants you to pay her to teach you how to activate your DNA to unlock your communication with the alien races.

I Have An Open Mind But My Wallet Not So Much

I am very open-minded about things. I believe in aliens. I believe in paranormal anomalies. I know what Starseeds are and have researched them extensively—which will be explained in the third part of Spirituality and Cults.

However, being in contact with multiple alien races of Starseeds, as this person claims to be, is not part of the Starseed experience. Whichever Starseed family you belong to would be—if possible, and keeping an open mind about it—the only contact you can maintain.

I am not claiming that people can or cannot contact those otherworldly, but I do know that paying to activate your DNA to talk to them is a hundred percent a scam and cult-like thing to be pulled into. You pay to be unlocked, and then you also start teaching people. That sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

The Difference Between Paths And Quicksand

The difference between it being a scam and a cult is the following this person has attained. While many of their posts seem uplifting and positive, the root of the matter is how they present themselves as a Galactic Ambassador who can only teach you to do what they do.

You don’t need to pay to unlock your own spiritual awareness. In all honesty, that is what this all boils down to. The only people who have ever told us that we need to pay for any type of spiritual attainment, awareness, —fill—in—the—blank, etc., are people wanting to make money off your spiritual ascension.

There isn’t money when you leave this world. Why would it cost money to unlock the money about the unknown? In all mythology, the gods have never asked for wealth. We have assumed that if we give wealth, we earn wealth. That is not how spirituality works because it’s a personal journey between you and your higher self.
